Hi, I'm Fifi!
I'm on a mission of self-discovery and personal growth. I'm constantly chasing my purpose and grabbing every opportunity with excitement. Life's transformations inspire me to learn from the past and become a better version of myself. From a young age, I didn't have ready-made toys or technology, so I became a master of creativity, crafting my own toys, dolls, and shaping items from clay. This creative spirit stayed with me even after coming to America, where I continued to draw, write, dance, vlog, and play instruments. It's safe to say that I love anything that allows me to express myself.
Fast forward to my senior year of high school, when I once again delved into the art world. Designing a website for a blog over the summer stole my heart and ignited my passion for design. The process of planning, designing, and presenting became my true love. It was the first time since childhood that I felt such deep passion. This newfound hobby led me to focus on modeling and managing a fashion page on Instagram. Through this journey, I underwent profound self-reflection, fully embracing my creative, artistic, and imaginative identity. Accepting and nurturing this part of myself, I discovered the goals I wanted to pursue.
And now, in this exciting new chapter, I'm filled with enthusiasm to embark on a career as a UX/UI designer, specializing in interactive UI. Join me on this thrilling journey of creativity!

Are you familiar with the frustrating feeling of standing in front of your closet, unsure of what to wear for a specific occasion? Do you often find yourself repeating outfits because you struggle to come up with new ideas?

Introducing our outfit-generating app! Quickly create diverse outfits, connect with others, and save time by generating ideas suitable for your body type.
Objective
Our app inspires users of all fashion levels, helping them save time, become more efficient, and innovate in generating new outfit ideas. A survey indicates 100% agreement that the app can solve users' wardrobe challenges.
Significance & Hypothesis
Efficiency and organization are crucial for events. Our app streamlines the process, reducing stress and benefiting individuals aged 16-40 by saving time and minimizing confusion.

This survey is important for understanding users' preferences and needs when it comes to an app that can generate outfit ideas, keep track of clothes, and help organize closets.

​Majority of young adult participants would use an app that generates outfit ideas, keeps track of clothes, and helps organize their closet.
Generating outfits based on weather or type of event was the most important feature for the app.
While the process of picking an outfit and getting ready was efficient, some participants felt that it didn't emphasize being visually appealing.
Most participants used Instagram and shopping apps for generating outfit ideas.
Majority had shelves, boxes, and drawers to help organize their closet.
All participants agreed that recommendations and inspirations for outfits would improve their experience when getting ready.
There is a market opportunity for a fashion app that combines outfit suggestions with closet organization and management features.

Strengths: Provides a smooth user experience, easy access, and wide product range. Free of cost and comes with phone convenience.
Weaknesses: Can take up space, lacks filtering option, doesn't generate ideas or provide organizing ability in albums.
Strengths: Widely known, easy posting and sharing, allows archiving and image import. Lots of existing content.
Weaknesses: Lack of focus on fashion, no organization control, can't generate outfit ideas based on user information.
TikTok & YouTube
Strengths: High level of engagement and wide range of demographics. Visual entertainment with user-generated outfit ideas. Requires less work for users, just watching. Potential to make money through content creation.
Weaknesses: Time-consuming to create content, not easily organizable, Fyp algorithm-generated content may not be accurate, can take time to search and find relevant content.

These principles were chosen to ensure that the fashion app revamp is developed in an ethical and socially responsible manner, while also providing a positive user experience and adding value to users' lives.

To create the sitemap for my outfit idea generating app, I began by studying the insights received from competitor analysis. Next, I reviewed all the research I had collected based on user needs. Finally, I analyzed the surveys I conducted and implemented the key needs mentioned by users. The resulting site map includes main menus and their corresponding submenus, ensuring easy navigation and access to different features and functionalities.

I developed a user flow to outline the path that users would take within the app. The user journey begins on the home page and then progresses into various categories. Specifically, I focused on Katie's goal, which is to find inspiration for an outfit to wear to school.

Final Prototype
After incorporating feedback and adhering to the style guide, I proceeded to develop a hi-fidelity prototype. This prototype captured the refined changes I made throughout the process. User testing was carried out during both the wireframe stage and the initial prototype draft to ensure optimal usability and user experience.
Users are introduced to the app through a logo screen and sign-in/signup page, followed by brief onboarding screens explaining the app's purpose.
Users explore the inspiration menu, sort outfits by recommendation, and access the filter page for further customization.
Users utilize the filter page to narrow down outfit options based on type and events.
Users engage with the Albums feature, either by creating new albums or browsing through previously saved collections.
Users view specific collections within albums, make any desired changes, and save them before returning to the main menu.
